The Wise Family Foundation has been supporting Variety Village/Variety the Children’s Charity since 2001 creating opportunities for children of all abilities to play, learn, hope and grow.

This support has created many exciting initiatives including:

Wise Family Foundation newly named fieldhouse and track! The 200-meter track installation features include a Hobart surface design certified to World Athletic standards. Participants, members, outpatients from rehabilitation facilities, athletes and teams are already sharing this ideal for running impact and comfort on their joints. This new track will ensure people of all ages and abilities can utilize accessible indoor training facilities to play, participate or compete together as families, recreational or competitive athletes.

The consultation, engagement and installation of new curtain dividers in the field house that allows for additional program delivery options. You can now have children playing wheelchair basketball, fencing and karate simultaneously in the field house without the interference from other programs.

The Annual Variety Village Athletic Club banquet, which recognizes accomplishments and participation in sports including; artistic swimming, VOLT Hockey, Powerlifting, tae kwon do, swimming and wheelchair basketball.  

The prestigious scholarship awards which acknowledges the leadership and determination of youngsters and volunteers including the Debbie Burns Memorial Award and the Mike Devine Memorial Award.

The World's Greatest Christmas Party

The annual sponsor, fundraiser and event organizer at the Variety Village Sunshine Games the Foundation helps to increase awareness of accessible and inclusive opportunities.

The Variety Village Cardio Room which houses adapted fitness equipment for people of all abilities to get active and get involved.
